<image:title>Services and Fees - Clinical Supervision $175 Licensed in Maine and Georgia</image:title>
<image:caption>I love working with interns and clinicians in training. I establish a supervisory agreement with each supervisee and document each supervision session. I require supervisees accumulating hours for licensure to hold their own professional liability insurance policy for the entirety of the supervision relationship. As a supervisor, I use a collaborative and supportive framework to encourage professional growth, autonomy, and guidance when needed. Themes explored in supervision include developing competence using theoretical models, transference and countertransference, professional development, ethical concerns with clients, appropriate documentation, developing treatment plans, and self-care.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Therapy - Dr. McLain’s Therapy Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>I understand the importance of finding a therapist you can trust. I offer a supportive, respectful, and empowering environment for clients and encourage risk taking to foster resilience. I aspire to help clients live the life they choose and to leave therapy as they build their confidence. I help clients build a better relationship with themselves and others, connect spiritually, and heal old wounds in order to be present in life. I help clients establish treatment goals to make lasting changes that are in line with their values. While I encourage clients to utilize therapy as long as necessary, I am very intentional to ensure they are not in therapy indefinitely. I utilize a blend of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Process Therapy, Attachment Theory, Exposure Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques tailored to clients and couples and their presenting issues. I am Health at Every Size (HAES) informed and emphasize overall health and wellness with eating disorder clients. I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for those with trauma and PTSD. In addition, I have experience with traditional Addiction Models, Harm Reduction Models, and SMART Recovery substance use and addiction models.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Eating Disorders - Eating Disorder Treatment</image:title>
<image:caption>Recovering from an eating disorder can be difficult and feel hopeless. I want you to know that recovery is possible and sometimes it requires professional help. I believe that the right treatment team provides the best hope for successful recovery. It is not uncommon to include additional supports on your recovery journey, such as a dietitian, physician, support group, or treatment center. We will identify the best treatment plan together during our initial session so you have the best chance of success. I work from a relational approach while providing tools and skills to navigate difficult emotions, thoughts, relationships, and situations. My goal is to help you understand what purpose the eating disorder serves, how it impacts your life and relationships, and how to make sustainable changes in line with your values. Therapy is intended to provide a space to practice new skills, explore underlying core beliefs, and identify ways to step out of your comfort zone. My hope for you is that you can develop a healthy relationship with your body and food.</image:caption>
